hi swapnil ,

if you are still having problem accessing your NTFS then follow the below steps:

1)Go to taskbar menu select "Install & remove software" & enter ur password when prompted.

2)In the Search box above enter "NTFS" & u will get a list .Select the available packages and click Apply.
The requested drivers will be downloaded.

3)Then after download finishes go to Menu in taskbar select Tools/System Tools/NTFS Configuration Tool
and Enable Write support . If it doesn't work do it forcefully.

This tool is only for EXT2 file system
but if you want write access too than you this can be used
http://www.fs-driver.org/

This is cool but be careful if you access other Linux file system (eg. EXT3) windows will ask to format it. Beware of viruses of windows because of write access

most of the software including ntfs-3g are also available on the DVD.
They are just not installed by default.
If you want to install a package all you have to do is
Insert your DVD in drive,
Open Package Manager,
Search for package,
Install it.
It will select dependencies by itself and also tells the space required for package installation.
So, its very easy and handy.

\\\\\"What happens when you read some doc and either it doesn\\\\\'t answer your question or is demonstrably wrong? In Linux, you say \\\\\"Linux sucks\\\\\" and go read the code. In Windows etc you say \\\\\"Windows sucks\\\\\" and start banging your head against the wall.\\\\\"

10 Things to Consider When Choosing a Linux Distribution
I can’t begin to tell you how many people over the years I have consulted with about choosing a Linux distribution. And even with my own personal loyalties to one distribution or another, it always amazes me how certain distributions are better suited to various users and needs. So when I set out to write a 10 Things article, it only made sense that my first one be related to choosing a Linux distribution.

Interview: How a hacker became a freedom fighter
One of the founding fathers of "free software" and an esteemed elder of the hacking community, Richard Stallman has made defending people's freedoms his life's work. That usually means supplying hackers with software and attacking copyright law. But as he tells Michael Reilly, his advocacy of personal freedoms extends to the protection of true democracy and of the human rights increasingly being trampled on in the US and elsewhere.
