mandriva 2009: unable to access distribution media 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0  
I recently have installed mandriva 2009 & encountered with a problem rpmdrake is unable to connect to the media?


here is the output of error:
Unable to add medium, errors reported:

...retrieving failed: aria2 failed: exited with 1
unable to access the distribution medium (no media.cfg file found)

Medium: Official2009.0- ()

I have searched it a lot but couldn't reach up to a solution I guess this might be due to business of the media, if it is something else please let me know so that I can solve it.

I have solved the problem (partially )

this helped me

Still same (above) error is coming if I select "Update source only" while using rpmdrake,
but I am able to update through "Full set of sources".

Hey Paras,

I guess, its inherited problem from Mandriva-2008. I guess, you have to edit your Media Sources from 'Configure my computer'.

I have yet to see Mandriva-2009. Doing backup.

Man, its too huge backup.

It worked I don't know how.
As soon as I rebooted the system it worked fine
Its a relieve now.
