and hello to all LUG Indore Enthusiasts,

Its really great to know that LUG indore is back with its annual event... wish i was there ..
Currently i am in mumbai working for TCS and really missing my LUG days... neways please do let me know if i could be a part of this event in any way ...

Kindly consider a suggestion of my side regarding this event ...
The event should be viewed lookin at the categories of audience :
1) Enthusiast - Newbies or who just want to migrate to Linux.
2) Normal user - Who use linux for their day to day stuff .
3) Power User - Linux geeks (they may be very few in numbers)

The motive of the event should be to migrate each of these user to next category.In order to achieve this .. i think the flow of the event should be in similar fashion..like a workshop where a new person comes in and gets out with a lot of knowlegde and confidence of linux.

My suggestion is the event will start with(formalities aside) tutorial on migrating from winXP to linux (the difference in file structure ,directory structure etc) .. then comes like installing linux.. and so on ... reaching to the point where we have some hardcore linux stuff for power users..

Hey Abhishek, how are you doing ?

Well, though you are far away in Mumbai, but you can surely help us. Just "Spread the Word" about LinuxIndore-2008. Let all your colleagues, friends, relatives know, there is something happening in Indore.

Thanks for your suggestions. We will surely keep that in mind, while deciding over seminars and workshops to be presented during the event.

Abhishek, LinuxIndore is also missing one of our core team member, thats you. But its great to know, you still think and want to work for LinuxIndore.

i am AMBUJ DUBEY from E.C.E a keen user of linux, i have joined this group in april 2008 i have been actively attached with this group throgh internet(gmail) ,Director Dr. C.N.S.Murthy & Mr. Amay abhyenkar sir, through them i have continously knowing about you and group activities.I would love to be a volunteer of LINUX INDORE as i am capable of managing and working in efficent way.some of the work which i have been doing for linux indore is making hostelite as well as days scholar aware of this group, with the help of this group i was able to distribute many open source softwares as well as OS specially mandriva spring 2008. i hve also given seminar in my colllege regarding "WHY LINUX IS BETTER THAN WINDOWS". i have worked on variuos linux distributions & foss utilities. i read linux for u & PC QUEST which are the leading open source magzine in asia. i want there should also be article or journal of LINUX INDORE which will make it more popular among masses and make people aware of power of linux & FOSS tools.
looking forward to be soon seen as volunteer in LINUX INDORE.
